Report from East Lothian County Ladies GC:
‘The Cuthbertson Cup took place today at a sunny but very cold Royal Musselburgh. Unfortunately East Lothian were unable to field a team so the format had to be changed to 18 holes of singles, scratch, stroke play. The total of the lowest three scores of each county deciding the winner. Congratulations to Stirling and Clackmannanshire on their win. Their team of Erin Huskie (Stirling), Erin MacAlpine (Glenbervie), Lara Douglas (Glenbervie) and Ava Paterson (Tullialan) had the winning score of 235. This included the best scratch score of the day a 75 from Lara Douglas.
Midlothian team, Katie MacKenzie (Craigmillar Park), Rita Murphy (Murrayfield), Maisie Witt ( Kingsknowe) and Summer Xie (Swanston) were second with a score of 243.
In third place were Fife whose team Verity Swift (St Regulus), Maisie Band (Lundin), Rebecca Whiteford (Lundin), Annie Pennycook (St Regulus) with a score of 253.
Many thanks to Royal Musselburgh for hosting the competition.’
