Report of Final
It was a close and exciting final which we all enjoyed watching. After a pleasant morning it started raining just as the match began.

Jennifer got off to a good start by winning the first two holes in par. Jennifer 2 up.
At the 3rd hole, Emma's drive found a deep dip in the fairway near two trees, however she played an excellent shot onto the green. Two putts secured her par. Jennifer was also on the green in 2 but her second putt lipped out. Emma won the hole - Jennifer 1 up.

At the par three 4th hole, Emma's drive was on the green and Jennifer missed the green on the left. Jennifer pitched on but missed the putt. Emma two putted for her par.  Match all square.
The 5th and 6th holes were halved. By this time the weather was very unpleasant with rain, wind and really quite cold.

At the 7th, Emma's pitch was short but she holed the putt. Jennifer's pitch hit the hole but she missed the putt so Emma was 1 up. Emma's drive was on the fairway at the 8th and she had a good second just short of the green. Jennifer had a long drive to the right of the fairway. An excellent second finished about 6ft from the pin. Emma pitched on but missed the putt and Jennifer holed for a birdie. Match all square.

At the 9th Jennifer was on the green in two, Emma pitched on in three but three putted and conceded the hole. Jennifer was 1 up. Luckily the rain had stopped and the sun was coming out.
Emma won the 10th after she pitched on and holed the putt. All square again. Jennifer won the 11th with a par 4 to go 1 up and the 12th was halved.

At the spectacular 13th hole Jennifer put her drive on the green while Emma's was short. Emma pitched on past the hole and 3 putted so after Jennifer putted close the hole was conceded. Jennifer was 2 up. Emma won the 14th with a 4 after Jennifer missed the green on the right, pitched up and missed the putt. Jennifer 1 up.
The par 3 16th was into the wind and both players under-clubbed! Emma's ball unfortunately found a bunker and when she failed to get out, she conceded the hole as Jennifer's pitch had finished near the hole. The 17th was halved and Jennifer became our new champion.

Our thanks to East Lothian Captain, Dawn Young, for refereeing the final and presenting the prizes after the match.

Thank you to the Glen Golf Club for the courtesy of the course, which was in excellent condition, for our Summer Meeting and Championship and for giving us a warm welcome in the Clubhouse.
