Maisie Band wins Overall Prize at Autumn Meeting

Maisie Band, Lundin Ladies, won the Overall Prize at the Autumn Meeting at Craigmillar Golf with an excellent nett 62. Erin Huskie, Stirling, won the Scratch Prize with a gross score of 72.

Congratulations to Carly McDonald who won the Girls’ Open Quaich (Handicap) at the St Andrews Junior Ladies Tournament. In the final, Carly beat Abigail McCafferty by 3 &1 over the Old Course on Friday.

Evie McCallum is East of Scotland Girls’ Champion

Evie McCallum beat Megan Fallon by 6 & 5 in the final of the East of Scotland Girls' Championship held at Falkirk Tryst. Congratulations to Evie on becoming this year's Champion. Well done to both girls who played excellent golf over the two days and contested the final in the best of spirits.

Many thanks to Jennie Allan, Junior Secretary of Stirling & Clackmannan Ladies County, for arranging the venue for this year’s competition and for her help over the two days. Thank you to Anna Hunter, President of Stirling & Clackmannan LGA for refereeing the final, presenting the prizes and for her support at Falkirk Tryst. Many thanks also to Sharon MacPherson for her help with the scores and her support during the two days.

It was a most enjoyable time at Falkirk Tryst, many thanks to all the girls who played. There were many compliments from club members on the excellent standard of golf which was being played - Well done girls! Thanks to the parents, relatives and friends who support our events. East of Scotland Girls’ Championship

The matchplay stages of the East of Scotland Girls’ Championship continued at Falkirk Tryst on Wednesday 6th July at Falkirk Tryst on a rather chilly and windy morning.  One girl from each of our four counties had reached the semi final - Evie McCallum (East Lothian), Carly McDonald (Fife), Megan Fallon (Midlothian) and Erin Huskie (Stirling & Clackmannan).

Evie McCallum wins Stephen Gallacher Trophy at Summer Meeting

Evie McCallum (Dunfermline) was the leading qualifier for the matchplay stages of the East of Scotland Girls Championship. Evie had scratch 70 and wins the Stephen Gallacher Trophy. 

Abigail May (St Regulus) won the Overall Prize with a nett 69 (BIH).

Order of Merit 

We will award four prizes for Order of Merit winners at the end of the Season.

Points are awarded as follows:

  • For each County junior championship: 10,7,5,3 points will be awarded to the Champion, Runner-Up, 3rd. and 4th places respectively.
  • For each East of Scotland GGA meeting: 15,13,11,9,7,5,3,1 points will be awarded for the best 8 scratch scores.
  • For the East of Scotland Girls' Championship: 20,15,10,10,5,5,5,5 points will be awarded to the champion, runner-up, semi-finalists and quarter-finalists respectively.
Enter as many competitions as you can; they all count for the Order of Merit.
