Summer Meeting & Championship at Falkirk Tryst

The East of Scotland Girls’ Summer Meeting will be held on Tuesday 28th July at Falkirk Tryst  Golf Club.

The best 8 gross scores from the Summer Meeting qualify for the match play Championship.
This will be played as follows:

Quarter Finals: Tuesday 28th July afternoon 
Semifinals: Wednesday 29th July morning 
Final: Wednesday 29th July afternoon 

The Summer Meeting is also a qualifier for the Justin Rose Junior Golf  Tournament.

Please enter as soon as you can. We hope to see everyone at Falkirk Tryst Golf in July.

East Girls win Mhairi McKay Trophy at Broomieknowe

Congratulations to the East of Scotland Girls who won the match against the West of Scotland Girls at Broomieknowe Golf Club. Well done to  the girls in both teams for playing such excellent golf which was a delight to watch.

Thank you to Jenny Todd, Wilma Aitken and all the West girls for coming to Broomieknowe.

Our thanks to Broomieknowe Golf Club for courtesy of the course and for the warm welcome and excellent catering after the match. We all enjoyed the day at Broomieknowe.

Louise wins Monmouthshire Masters

Some of our East Girls have been playing in the SGF Monmouthshire Masters at Monmouthshire Golf Course in Wales.

Many congratulations to Louise Martin who won the Girls’ Trophy. Katie Mackenzie was in second place and Annie Pennycook was fifth.

The tournament consisted of 3 rounds played over 3 days.

Erin Huskie is Scottish Women’s Amateur Champion

Erin played great golf all week at Southerness. She qualified from the stroke play in second place. In the match play, Erin won against Carly McDonald and then Jade Potter both matches going to the 19th. The Semifinal against Abercrombie Nesbit was closely contested with Erin winning with a birdie at the 21st. Regrettably, Rosie Maguire could not contest the final due to  a neck injury. Hope she  recovers soon.

Congratulations to Erin on a fantastic achievement! Enjoy being Scottish Champion! 🏆

Points are awarded as follows:

  • For each County junior championship: 10,7,5,3 points will be awarded to the Champion, Runner-Up, 3rd. and 4th places respectively.
  • For each East of Scotland GGA meeting: 15,13,11,9,7,5,3,1 points will be awarded for the best 8 scratch scores.
  • For the East of Scotland Girls' Championship: 20,15,10,10,5,5,5,5 points will be awarded to the champion, runner-up, semi-finalists and quarter-finalists respectively.
Enter as many competitions as you can, they all count for the Order of Merit.
