Carys Irvine wins Overall Prize at Autumn Meeting

Autumn Meeting

Unfortunately play had to be stopped in the Autumn Meeting as the greens were flooded due to heavy rain throughout the day. As all the girls had completed 9 holes, prizewinners were decided by the scores over 9 holes.
Well done to all the girls who played in these dreadful conditions. In the end the scores were close - congratulations to the prizewinners.

Thank you to Falkirk Golf Club for courtesy of the course for our Autumn Meeting and 9 Hole competition. Many thanks to Jennie Allan, Junior Secretary SCCLGA, for her help with this competition. Thank you also to Jennifer Anderson, Secretary of S&C County Ladies, for checking in the girls and to Sharon Macpherson, Midlothian, for starting the girls off the first tee. We appreciate the counties' support. In spite of the weather, we had an enjoyable day at Falkirk.

Thank you to everyone who has played in our competitions and matches this year. It has been lovely to see so many of you playing and great to see your handicaps coming down. We look forward to see everyone next year.

9  Hole Competition (played from Blue tees)

We also ran a 9 Hole Competition for younger girls in the Counties. It was lovely to meet seven very enthusiastic girls. Even with the rain, everyone completed the 9 holes. Well done to all who played, there were some great scores. Thank you for coming and thanks to the parents who walked round with them. I'm sure some of you will be members of the East of Scotland Girls very soon!
