The annual match between the West of Scotland Girls and the East of Scotland Girls, played at Cardross Golf Club, ended in a halved match. As last year’s winners. East Girls retain the Trophy.

All the games were keenly contested in a sporting and friendly manner. Thank you to all the girls who played in the match, it is great to see so many talented girls in our teams.

Thank you to West of Scotland Girls’ Officials, Jenny Todd and Anne Laing for organising this year’s match and for their kind hospitality after the match. Thank you also to Cardross Golf Club for hosting the match and to the Vice Captain who welcomed us before the match. The girls all enjoyed the course which was in excellent condition.

Carly McDonald selected for Junior Vagliano Team

Congratulations to Carly McDonald who has been selected for the GB&I team to play against the Continent of Europe for the Junior Vagliano Trophy.This will be played from June 27-28 at Royal Hague Golf & Country Club, The Netherlands.

Congratulations to new member Eilish Stewart (Dunnikier Park) who won the Overall Prize at the Spring Meeting held at the Renaissance Golf Club yesterday. Eilish had a score of 94 less 31 nett 63. Congratulations also to Scratch Prize winner, Abigail May (St Regulus) who returned a gross 71.

We had a most enjoyable day at the Renaissance for our Spring Meeting. Thank you to the Renaissance G C for courtesy of the course and for a warm welcome in the Clubhouse. Thank you to Una Cooper, East Lothian Ladies County Treasurer for arranging for us to play at the Renaissance and for her valuable help on the day. Thank you to Shona Paton, East Lothian Junior Secretary, and Una for starting the girls at the first tee.

It was lovely to see so many girls playing in our first competition of 2025. Well played everyone, there were some excellent scores - a great start to the golf season.

We look seeing everyone at our Summer Meeting in July at Dalmahoy Golf & Country Club.
