Summer Meeting & Championship

Just a reminder that the Summer Meeting and Championship will be played at Dunnikier Park on Monday 8th July and Tuesday 9th July. We hope there will a large entry for this competition. 

Players with the best 8 gross scores in the Summer Meeting will qualify for the East of Scotland Girls’ Championship Matchplay. The Quarter Finals will be played on Monday 8th July (afternoon) and the Semi Finals and Final will be played on Tuesday 9th July.

In this competition, you can gain points for the East of Scotland Girls' Order of Merit and for the Stephen Gallacher U18 Girls Order of Merit. The East of Scotland Girls' Champion also receives points for the Scottish Golf Girls Order of Merit.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Dunnikier Park.

West Girls win match at Pollok Golf Club

A strong and experienced West of Scotland Girls team beat the East Girls and retained the Mhairi Mackay Trophy at Pollok Golf Club on Sunday. Congratulations to the West Team and well done to the girls in both teams who played great golf in a positive and friendly manner.

Lara Douglas wins Overall Prize at the Spring Meeting

Twenty girls played in our first competition of 2019 on a sunny, Spring day at Ratho Park GC. The course was in excellent condition for the time of year, scoring was excellent with many of the girls getting their season off to a great start.  

Many congratulations to Lara Douglas of Falkirk on winning the Overall Prize at the Spring Meeting with an excellent score of 92 less handicap of 28 for a net score of 64.

Congratulations also to Mollaidh Nicholson (Prestonfield) who won the Scratch Prize with a gross score of 79.

Hi Girls

Happy New Year. We hope you have had a happy time over the holidays and are now looking forward to the golfing season.
We look forward to seeing you all at our competitions this year. All our competitions last year were well attended and it was great to see handicaps being cut throughout the year. Well done, everyone!

Just to let know that membership for 2019 is now due. Please submit the Membership form along with your subscription of £10 to East of Scotland Girls' Secretary, Mandy Easton. A Membership Form is available on this website. Stirling & Clackmannan win the Inaugural Kingsbarns Girls Classic

Congratulations to the Stirling & Clackmannan team of Natalie Fowler and Eva Woodward who won the inaugural Kingsbarns Girls' Classic yesterday (November 3rd). Scottish Golf invited each County to nominate two girls to play in this development golf event. Professional Heather Macrae also hosted a clinic on the day. Well done to all the East Girls who were selected to play. We hope everyone had a great day!

Grace Crawford wins East of Scotland Girls Order of Merit - 2018

Congratulations to Grace Crawford, Gullane Ladies, who has won this year's East of Scotland Girls Order of Merit. Grace played especially well in our Summer Meeting and Championship and gained 55 points overall. Alicja Gorka, Royal Musselburgh, was second with 47 points. Carys Irvine, Craigielaw, and Eilidh Henderson, Loretto School, finished in third and fourth places respectively.
